The College of the Law / University of Babylon ... and in collaboration with the Iraqi Academics Union / Babylon branch, held a symposium on legislation for the Ministry of Higher Education entitled (Legal vision on legislation for higher education and scientific research), in the presence of two deputies in the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Haider Al-Mutairi, member of the Parliamentary Education Committee Dr. Haider al-Salami, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Dr. Mushtaq al-Khafaji, head of the Syndicate’s Babylon branch, and some university professors and affiliates. The symposium included three axes. First axes was on legislation related to administrative and financial aspects, in which the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Miri Kazem Al-Khikani, spoke about some laws related to university service and student discipline laws and all related administrative and financial matters. The second axis was about legislation related to scientific aspects. It was presented by Prof. Dr. Ismail Sasa’a Al-Badiri, while the last topic was on legislation related to private education, which was dealt with by Dr. Nafeh Takleef Majeed. In conclusion, the discussion was opened by the attendees, and proposals related to the legislation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research were presented.
